IJN Hope - My History
As the founder of IJN Hope, not only am I a United States citizen who immigrated to this country at the age of 9 from Pakistan, but I also happen to be a strong Bible-believing Christian. My family is Christian going back 4 generations. Hope was brought to my ancestors as a result of Samuel Martin, a young missionary from Ohio who followed the Great Commission (Mt. 28:19) in 1867 by going to what is now Pakistan. My familial village is named after him (Martinpur) in honor of the life-changing service he willingly gave for more than 44 years. As a result of his efforts, my great grandfather was among those converted and became a Presbyterian minister of the Gospel. The ideas of democracy and western thought that were planted into the minds of the people of Pakistan by him and other missionaries through their mission schools and colleges had a profound effect on the formation of the democratic based constitution and political structure of Pakistan. I owe a debt of gratitude to this great nation the United States of America I love, admire and call my home. If it were not for Americans like Samuel Martin, I would not be a Christian. It is my desire to bring the message of hope full circle using "The Hope Pin" and "Liberty USA" T-shirts as part of my ministry to the freedom loving American people.
