On 9/11/2001 the United States “One Nation under God” was attacked
The Twin Towers to the ground toppled, our Spirits dashed
But the glory of our Flag stands proud, in our hearts and across our land
Red for Valor of heroes who sacrificed their lives
And Hardiness of the families who lost loved ones that tragic day
White for the Purity of American hearts
And innocence of children lost that sad day
Blue for Vigilance, Perseverance, and Justice we seek
As we move forward from such a terrible, dark day
Black for the many deaths we witnessed
In such sorrow, helplessness, and despair
Yellow for Hope in our God, forever just and always fair
“In His (Jesus) name the nations will put their hope” Matt. 12:21
