Dear Soldier,
It is important that you realize that you are fighting against evil of the
worst kind. It is evil in that it goes against the very concept of freedom
which Almighty God has given man since the beginning of time. So when you
are fighting, remember that your warfare is not just physical warfare but
spiritual as well. Fight by putting on the Armor of God as His Word
tell you to: The Armor of God (Ephesians Chapter 6: Verses 10-18)
- Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
- Put on the Full Armor of God so that you can take your stand against the
devil’s schemes.
- For our struggles is not against flesh and blood, but against the ruler,
against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against
the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Note: There are demonic
forces loose, know that and pray against them. Ask anything in the name of
Jesus, they will flee. Ask God for safety, encouragement and miracles in the
name of Jesus.
- Therefore put on the Full Armor of God, so that when the day of evil
comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done
everything, to stand.
- Belt of Truth. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around
your waist, with the Breastplate of righteousness in place,
- Combat boots. And with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes
from the gospel of peace.
- Flak jacket. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with
which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
- Helmet/Gun. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the Word of God.
- And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and
requests…This means ask God to send you His Holy Spirit to comfort you.
So that you can say that you have kept the “faith”...
1 Timothy 6:12
- Fight the good fight of the faith; Take hold of the eternal life to which
you were called when you made good your confession in the presence of many
witnesses.
As you fight in spiritual, your weapons will be the garments of praise and
prayer. (You can sing any hymn or song that praises God). If you only know
“Jesus loves me this I know” then sing that. Paul and Silas did and look how God
delivered them. Remember that Praise is the death knell of the devil and his
demons.
Acts 16: 22-40 details how their prison chains were loosened and doors opened by
an earthquake as a result of their praise.
Finally, if you are coming up on The Midnight Hour, sing this little song I
wrote especially for all of you!
The Midnight Hour
© 2003 Shabnam Chowdry
I’m coming up on the midnight hour
Oh won’t you help me, Lord! Deliver me!
I’m coming up on the midnight hour
Oh won’t you help me, Lord! Deliver me!
Oh won’t you help me, Lord! Deliver me!
Remember: God responds to your dependence upon Him not your independence of
Him.
